Welcome to my Blog!

I am new to blogging but have been blog-stalking others for so long that I decided to make my own. Hopefully some other new mommies and preggo's can share advice and comments of their experiences with me as I go through this journey! I will share as candidly as possibly the up's and down's, excitement, worries, funnies, and anything else that happens during my pregnancy. I will also backtrack some and cover some of the highlights that have already happened- since I am now in the 6th month of my pregnancy, better late than never though!
I hope you enjoy reading my blog and please bear with me as I am still learning how to use this site.

99 Days... Holy crap, I am in the double digits!

How far along? 25 Weeks and 5 days

Total Weight Gain: Still just 21 pounds.... I was sure I had gained a couple but went to the doctor on Monday and no weight gain in the past 3 weeks. WOW- not to worry fundal height has increased by 2 inches so baby girl is get plenty to eat!

Maternity Clothes? Yeppers, still in Yoga pants and t-shirts, mostly sports bras now too bc I seem to be outgrowing all the regular ones

Stretch Marks? Still only the two on the hips... go belly!

Sleep? been pretty good this week (knock on wood), I have been waking up on my back about every hour or two with very sore hips but I just reposition with my mountain of pillows and fall back to sleep.

Best Moment This Week: Getting to hear her heartbeat on Monday and the doctor saying "yep she is definitely a wiggler" (like her momma!)

Movement: More and more EVERY day! I can now see my belly move too, I will just sit here and watch her when she's really active!

Food Cravings: Nothing in particular.

Gender: Girl!

Labor Signs: nope

Belly Button - In or Out? Still weird and flat

What I miss: Being able to fit into normal clothes, I was at the store the other day and saw all these cute dresses that I would have worn last fall but could not even think about fitting into now!

What I am looking forward to: Loving on my baby instead of my belly

Weekly Wisdom: I had a come-to-Jesus with myself the other day because I keep stressing about EVERYTHING! like, am I really ready for this, am I gonna be a good mommy, am I gonna be able to afford this, etc... and I realized I am NOT the one in control here, God is and the minute I give it back to him it will all work out... and I prayed and I prayed, and guess what... the next day baby daddy got a call about for an interview he has been trying to get for 3 months now... his dream job! and they are trying to have him hired by Thanksgiving... and that's not even what I was specifically praying for... just for God to sort everything out... and this is a HUGE answer to prayer... so readers, if you pray, pray for this job!

Milestones: Being able to distinguish between her kicks, pokes, and somersaults!

Stats from DR.
My BP- 93/50 (Excellent)
Baby Girl's Heart- In the 160's (ACTIVE!)
Fundal Height- 26 Inches- a week ahead (I'm thinking, she's gonna be a big baby, I weighed almost 10 pounds and baby daddy weighed almost 9)

AND, I got to enjoy this lovely beverage while I was there, I got lemon-lime and it was mostly just like drinking sugar-water, not as nasty as I've heard... but maybe that's just the orange flavor.

Here's what Baby Center has to say about being 25 weeks preggo:

How your baby's growing

Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but she's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.

How your life's changing

Your baby's not the only one with more hair — your locks may look more full and lustrous than ever. It's not that you're growing more hair, but thanks to hormonal changes, the hair that you'd normally shed is sticking around longer than usual. (That's for sure, I was just thinking the other day how much hair I'm normally losing this time of year.) Enjoy the fullness while you can — the extra hair will fall out after you give birth.

You may also notice that you can't move around as gracefully as before. Unless your caregiver has advised you otherwise, it's fine to continue to exercise, but follow a few safety rules: Don't work out when you're feeling overly tired and stop if you feel any pain, dizziness, or shortness of breath. Don't lie flat on your back and avoid contact sports as well as any exercise where you're apt to lose your balance. Be sure to drink plenty of water, and make time for both warm-up and cool-down periods.

When you have your glucose-screening test at 24 to 28 weeks, a second tube of blood may be taken at the same time to check for anemia. If blood tests show that you have iron-deficiency anemia (the most common type of anemia), your caregiver will probably recommend that you take an iron supplement.
